Authors Guesthouse, accessed through a double iron gate, consists of three buildings, a swimming pool, decks and garden areas. Two of the buildings are small houses, designed in a familiar Bahamian Conch style. These historic houses, built around the turn of the century are rented as individual units. The main house, also with Bahamian influence of French doors and Bahama shutter, has rooms that open out to the pool area and others that are accessed via the upper level sundeck. All rooms in the main house open directly to the outside. Each room, with its individual decor, contains works and artifacts of the author for whom it is named. Common to all are the amenities of queen-sized beds, air conditioning, Bahama fans, private bath with shower, telephones, cable television with premium channels and refrigerators.
